CRT HDTV

CRT HDTV - Over the past few years, high definition television has upgraded many times. Where once there were only cathode ray tube, CRT, televisions we now have liquid crystal display, LCD, light emitting diode, LED and plasma screen televisions. The question many people may ask is can you still find CRT HDTV set? The answer is yes, but they are dwindling quickly!

While true high definition will require newer technology, you can find decent picture quality with a CRT HDTV. These televisions were manufactured around 2001 and were the first installments in the HDTV market. One such model is the RCA F38310 CRT HDTV.

This means if you are looking to get the most use out of your blue ray player or PlayStation 3 you will be out of luck.

Mitsubishi 55″ CRT HDTV

Some people prefer a little more television for their money. The Mitsubishi 55″ rear projection CRT HDTV is actually an HD upgradeable unit. What that means is you can potentially have high definition on this television if you purchase a separate device or if you currently have a subscription service such as cable or satellite. You have to remember these are some of the first HD televisions that were available. Today most televisions are HD ready without the necessity of extra equipment.

Overall

Can you find CRT HDTV sets? Yes but supplies are limited, very soon the CRT will likely be outdated. This is a great time to save a lot of money and still enjoy the early days of HDTV. The picture quality of course will not compare to current plasma or LCD units but for the price difference, you will still be quite happy with the results.
